Jeff Says:

Looks great but I don’t know how this works. I don’t see anything in the symbols pallet or brushes pallet. Can you tell how to use?
thanks.

Jennifer Says:

I’ve downloaded and opened the posted file and both the EPS and the Illustrator file have symbols in them. What version are you using? Are you trying to open with photoshop?

Stacy Says:

I attempted to download this in CS and CS2, and both were unsuccessful.

As Jeff stated, it appears blank. The ai file shows nothing in Illustrator, even with the layer selected, and the .eps file states that it was created with a newer version, and then opens up to nothing.

FG Says:

Is it only possible to use these with Illustrator, or can they be used with other packages?

Kate Says:

like Jeff said, i cant open them in Adobe Illust CS ,, i dont know why, the swirls cant appear, just show only the text as ‘this is an Adobe file that was saved without PDF content……..’ …
anyway, thnx so much for free stuff, Jennifer ;)

Jennifer Says:

Should be fixed.

ramona Says:

bee Says:

Hi,

I have CS2 and it said I can’t open the file since it was saved under a newer version. Do you have a version for CS2?

thanks

bee Says:

Never mind. I was able to open and saved the ai file. Just not the eps file. Great stuff. Thanks!

lana Says:

I’m a noob at illustrator.. i was just wondering, how are you suppose to install it?

Anne Says:

I don’t know how to install - it only give me the .ai and the jpg files?

annezura Says:

i figured it out. just open a new .ai file and then click on your symbols tab and then go down to where the symbols menu is, click that and go to “other libraries”. Find where you saved the .ai file and double click on that. then voila! the symbols tab should then open up and you’re able to use the swirls. hope this helps!

annezura Says:

this is great! thanks jlwdesign!

boguts Says:

how to install the symbols?

willbo Says:

Jennifer,

thank you for the generous gift of time and beautiful art tools, you really have been there [the proverbial trenches]. Here is a quote from an already unknown source for inspiration …

Resolution:
“I promise not to keep ideas in my head, unfulfilled and full of promise not to let these vague outlines of future actions give me false confidence and security in the abstract. Instead I will execute them quickly and faithfully so that I am again on the brink of the unknown, hoping that these ideas were not the last that would ever come to me from God knows where.”
